The two main components of Magnolia extract exhibit a pronounced antimicrobial effect [Park et al., In vitro antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects of honokiol and magnolol against Propionibacterium sp. Eur J Pharmacol. 2004 Aug 2;496(1-3):189-195]. Pimples and acne can therefore be significantly reduced by Magnolia extract. |
